Detox Worthy Kale Chips

Prep Time

5 minutes

Prep Notes

Pull the kale leaves off the stalks while trying to keep them intact as much as possible.

Cooking Time

15 minutes

Juice of one lemon

Olive oil spray (or 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil)

1 bunch of kale

Salt to taste

Additional seasonings:

Cayenne Pepper

Curry Powder

Lime instead of lemon

Pre-heat oven to 160C/320F

Line a large oven tray with baking paper

Lay the Kale on the oven tray in one layer, you don't want it too bunched up or it won't go crunchy. You may need two trays, or do two batches.

Spray kale all over with Olive Oil. If you don't have spray then toss the Kale in a bowl with olive oil first.

Sprinkle kale all over with lemon juice and salt. Add additional seasonings if desired.

Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until crisp. Keep an eye on them as they burn easily.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

My first suggestion to every woman trying to conceive is to detox the liver. This helps the body clear out old hormones and to process the toxins that may be holding you back from balancing your hormones for fertility.

What is a key element to detoxification? GREENS! I understand they are not the most tasty or exciting food to eat, that is, until you turn them into chips :-)

Kale works the best because it's hardy and holds it's nutrient component well through the cooking process. So cook up a batch of kale chips and alkalise your system to support your liver, and as a knock on effect - your fertility.
